More than 18 million North Americans have Asthma. That's 8% of all adults according to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention. The real tragedy of Asthma is that it is caused by genetic and environmental factors and it is not always possible to control our exposure to gene activating irritants. However, there is something we can do every day, such as limiting foods high in sulfates, and that has been proven to lessen the frequency of Asthma attacks.
